Abstract

This contribution traces the birth of the legal clinic on migration and international protection at the University of Genoa in the context of the European migration crisis in 2015. Both in the intersections between teaching, research and third mission, as well as in the evolution of training objectives and public engagement, plural perspectives are reflected between different knowledge. They ask for necessary back-and-forths, between the editions, to support a constant rethinking of the aims of the clinical-legal action so to be ready to face the challenges in changing contexts of interest. The encounter between different clinics and with ethno-clinical mediation, was a chance to observe law in action transformation process, starting from distant cosmovisions and methods. Rather than a positioning, such distances ask for the ability to recompose oneself knowing in the great variability of points of view that international protection can evoke.
