Abstract
This paper is inspired by the reflections contained in the book by U. Curi, Il colore dell’inferno. La pena tra vendetta e giustizia, which are discussed in order to propose a critical review of the debate on punishment as well as to suggest a model of “philosophy of law” which, precisely focusing on the theme of punishment, can constitute a new way of integration between a properly philosophical and a purely legal field of study.
